The Original Bike Buddy as reviewed by Total Motorcycle

Motorcycle enthusiasts website Total Motorcycles recently published their in depth review of The Original Bike Buddy with a focus on helping motorcycle riders . The aim of Total Motorcycles is to provide the most relevant and useful information to motorcycle riders , so they may buy with confidence.

While it may seem unusual to some, Total Motorcycles chooses to focus on helping Riders who care about their motorcycles/motorcyclists who worry about the bike falling when parked/ riders of all ages more specifically, because The inventor has had many experiences with parking on soft surfaces and worrying about their bike falling/all riders think about this every time they park/We want to solve a problem every rider has experienced at least once .

While most other review sites simply list the positive selling points, such as The original bike buddy has an ingenious design and conveniently mounts behind almost every motorcycle license plate making it easily within a riders grasp when parking/ The entire assembly is manufactured and assembled in North America/ the entire assembly is as light weight as possible and weighs under 1 pound/ The quick release self locking design is safe secure and rattle or vibration free at all times/, which is great because No more fishing around in your luggage or leathers for your puck or what ever you use to guarantee you ride stays standing when you leave it/ no rider want to hear a rattle or strange vibration while cruising down the road/support is at your figure tips when are where you need it ...

And some sites may go so far as to cover the more critical aspects as well, for example, Concerns of note would be that weighing 1 pound or 460 grams some light weight license plate mounts aren't suited to carry a Bike Buddy in off road situations/The access being tucked behind the license plate means the left side must be free from obstruction and some fully bagged motorcycles could find the supports interfering with use of the Bike Buddy , which lets it down because This could be a limiting feature for some enduro or dual sport riders...

... Total Motorcycles endeavours to go one step further in its mission to provide more value to Riders who care about their motorcycles/motorcyclists who worry about the bike falling when parked/ riders of all ages. One example of such specific advice is found below.

Really, the Bike Buddy solves two problems. The first problem, which we’re all familiar with, is trying to park your bike on soft or unstable surfaces. Parking on grass, gravel, or dirt can be extremely sketchy, especially if your bike isn’t meant for those environments. Really, even if it is, it can still be a trying proposition. Your kickstand foot can sink or skitter around, and enough of that sort of thing will result in a tip-over. Fortunately, a simple solution exists to solve this problem, and we all probably have one or two of them - a kickstand puck. These are plates or discs made of sturdy plastics or metals or occasionally rubber. You slip one under your kickstand foot, and it disperses the weigh of your bike across a much wider surface. At its core, the Bike Buddy is a kickstand puck. It’s a machined aluminum plate measuring (x by x by x), but with a degree of craftsmanship you don’t often see in this niche. It’s embellished with decorative grooves and bevels, and the intricately stylized Bike Buddy logo. Really, it’s so nice it’s almost a shame to toss it on the ground and prop your bike up on it. But you do, and it works well. No surprises - it’s a kickstand puck. What’s innovative about the Bike Buddy though, is the storage solution. I don’t know about you, but I have three or four kickstand pucks already. Some basic, some nice, some in-between. And when I find myself in the rare position of needing to park on uneven ground, I play a little mental game with myself. I try to remember where I stashed a kickstand puck last time I used one, usually four or five months ago. Hit or miss on whether I remember, so then I go searching. Tank bag, panniers, jacket pocket, fairing box. If it’s in none of those places, I’m hunting for a bit of wood or a flat stone like every other chump with poor organizational skills. Eric Leaverton
