To scent the wax, The Hundredth Acre uses phthalate-free fragrance oils that have never been tested on animals. Once the wax is scented, it is then poured into a clear recyclable glass container and allowed to set. Finally, to give the candle a personal touch, it is topped off with a hand-cut candle cover made from vintage literature books.
The candles come in two varieties — single-wick and triple-wick. The single-wick variety has a burn time of approximately 50 hours, while the triple-wick lasts for approximately 60 hours. The wicks are made from lead- and zinc-free cotton and paper, so they don’t release any toxins into the air when burning.
