Healing from your substance addiction is a journey. While there is no magic potion you can take to “fix” it, there are resources that can help make the journey a little less stressful and a whole lot more fulfilling.
One of the best ways is to be part of a supportive community that truly cares about your recovery. This is especially important if you’ve just completed formal rehab and are unsure of your next steps.
CFC Recovery offers a long-term recovery program for the active sober community. Here, you’ll:
According to the American Addiction Centers, there is a 40% to 60% relapse rate for substance use disorders. Experts believe that this may be caused by a lack of peer-based support and programs for individuals struggling with addiction, especially after they’ve completed rehab.

Addressing this, CFC Recovery’s relapse prevention program includes several modules to help you live a healthier, sober life. The 18-month program consists of 5 stages that will guide you to recognize your addiction triggers, find better coping methods, and develop a healthier lifestyle. Throughout the program, you are connected to like-minded individuals who sincerely want to help you succeed in your recovery journey.
As a member of the program, you will be invited to a monthly mixer and camping and snowboarding retreat twice a year. You will also be included in the regular community outreach and volunteering programs hosted by CFC Recovery. The goal is for you to feel a part of a loving and caring community to reduce the risk of substance abuse relapse.
You also work with a CFC Recovery Coach who will keep you accountable during your post-rehab journey. Meeting twice a week, you can speak with your coach about your short and long-term goals and your progress in the program.
The CFC relapse prevention program has an 85% success rate in guiding former addicts to achieve long-term recovery. It was awarded the Building Recovery Community Organization’s grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for its proven holistic approach.
CFC is not a treatment center and only offers a progressive self-help program run by recovery specialists.
Please take note that you need to have at least 30 days clean time to become a CFC Member in Recovery.
A spokesperson for the group wrote, "CFC Relapse Prevention Program fills the gap after clinical treatment.
