According to Alaska Bible College, its mission is to “exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and extend His Church by Biblically training believers to be servants who lead with Christ-like character.” They do this through their distinctive educational experiences, which are rooted in rigorous coursework and guided by mentorship and spiritual growth.
Alaska Bible College offers both four- and two-year degrees as well as two- and one-year certificates. You can obtain a B.A. in Biblical Studies & Christian Ministry or a B.A. in Elementary Education, or if you only want to do two years of study, you can get an A.A. in Biblical Studies instead. One- and two-year certificate courses on biblical studies are also available.
Credit requirements vary depending on the program; however, you can expect to take a diverse selection of classes. The majority of the credits earned will be in biblical studies and Christian ministry, but you must also earn general education credits in subjects such as English, history, mathematics, philosophy, and science, as well as elective credits.
Class sizes are small at Alaska Bible College, with the student-to-teacher ratio for the Fall 2022 semester at just 5:1. This enables instructors to dedicate more of their time and effort to you and also encourages you to be more engaged and interactive. The college also notes, that upon graduation, you improve your chances of finding employment by as much as 60%.
The campus is located in the heart of Palmer, surrounded by a natural landscape that is unmatched anywhere in the world.
