The journey will take place aboard VIA Rail’s “The Canadian” locomotive. With old-fashioned dining and observation cars reminiscent of train travel in the 1950s, the new tour is designed to provide you with an authentic mid-century railway experience.
The Canadian Nostalgic’s itinerary begins in Toronto, the capital city of Ontario, where you can take advantage of complimentary passes to the CN Tower, one of the city’s most well-known attractions.
Aboard the train, you will spend four nights in your own private sleeper cabin with access to daily made-to-order meals. As you travel westbound, you can enjoy popular spectacles like the Great Lakes and the Canadian Rockies. You will also have the option to listen to talks about certain geographical landmarks as you pass through.
When the train arrives in Vancouver, you are free to spend the day exploring the historic coastal city.
You’ll be provided with a one-night stay in both Toronto and Vancouver, with the option to select between four levels of accommodation: Popular, Superior, Deluxe and Premium.
