Visitors looking for a new restaurant near Elvis’s birth home in Tupelo, MS, now have a great place to eat, drink and rest after spending time with Elvis.

Located a scant 1.4 miles away is the second location of the Southern-focused, fresh food and beverage restaurant, Southern Craft Stove + Tap. The restaurant calls the Fairpark District home at 205 East Troy Street.

Owner Griffin Tanner + Executive Chef Bubba Gross welcome everyone visiting the Elvis Presley Birthplace & Museum to stop in and say hello.

“It’s very inspiring to be so close to the birthplace of Elvis Presley here in Tupelo. There is no greater association with Tupelo than Elvis. Being a neighbor of the museum is an honor,” said Tanner. “We look forward to serving visitors and employees of the museum and being part of this unique community for many years to come.”

The museum will delight visitors with the commissioned bronze statue of Elvis at 13 years old. Guests will see his childhood church, his boyhood home, and the surrounding park, where he played as a child. There is also a chapel, a theater, a gift shop, and an event space.

Close to Elvis’s birthplace is Veterans Park, home of Splash Pad, Tupelo Aquatic Center, and Eastwood Softball Complex. Southern Craft Stove + Tap is just a hop away from Bancorp South Arena.

With so much to see and do within a 2 square mile radius, it’s easy to work up an appetite. Southern Craft Stove + Tap is a convenient stop to enjoy lunch or dinner.

Serving everything from soups and salads, small and large plates, and a variety of unique pizzas, sandwiches, and side dishes, Southern Craft offers options to please the entire family.

Gross adds, “Our fresh, natural Southern-based food and welcoming service are in the tradition of Tupelo.”

Updated restaurant hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant is closed Monday. Bar hours reflect city ordinances.
