At Delice & Sarrasin (212-243-7200) in Greenwich Village, you can enjoy a night of fine plant-based dining that is worth crossing the Brooklyn Bridge for.
While it’s true that if you’re living in Brooklyn, you have everything you need on your side of the river, Delice & Sarrasin is pleased to be inviting you to enjoy a vegan food and wine experience you won’t want to miss out on.
Go to https://delicesarrasin.com/ to see why the vegan bistro and wine bar is known as one of the best in all of NYC.
The Head Chef at Delice & Sarrasin, Yvette Caron, hopes that they can lure you across the Brooklyn Bridge to enjoy their new wine pairing menu, which is seeing the bistro plate up gourmet French-inspired vegan dishes complemented by organic vegan wines from authentic French vineyards.
Following their win as one of Time Out’s best vegan and vegetarian restaurants in New York City, Delice & Sarrasin is pleased to be creating a more upscale gastronomic experience.
At the family-owned and run restaurant, you can now enjoy dishes like their Plateau de Fromage Végétal, which includes four French-style cashew cultured cheeses that Caron has crafted in-house, and which pair well with their Sauvignon Blanc 2022, which you can buy by the glass or bottle. This light yet herbaceous and citrusy wine is by Pech des Cades, a boutique vegan winery in Loire, a renowned wine-growing region.
Another new pairing you’re sure to love is Delice & Sarrasin’s vegan Escargots Beurre Maitre D’hotel, which inventively recreates this iconic French traditional dish using oyster mushrooms cooked in a garlic and parsley-infused plant-based artisanal butter. Head Chef Yvette Caron recommends you pair the distinctive savory flavors of this dish with their popular Chardonnay 2022, which comes from one of the top vineyards in Burgundy.
Whether you are interested in simply enjoying tasting plates or you want to sit down for a full three or four-course dining experience, Delice & Sarrasin has a 100% vegan wine to match.

Delice & Sarrasin is owned and operated by the Caron family, who moved to New York from Toulouse to open this wine bar and bistro. The bistro is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and is located at 178 West Houston Street at the meeting point of Greenwich Village and Soho.
“This 24-seat, chandelier-ornamented boutique cafe is a brick-and-mortar love letter to first-time New York restaurateur Christophe Caron’s treasured childhood dishes,” said Time Out in their recent review of the vegan bistro and wine bar. “Caron imports dry ciders to accompany saltier dishes, along with an easygoing selection of French wines and rosés.”
If you’re looking to enjoy some of Time Out’s favorite vegan wines and cuisine, you are recommended to book in advance because of the intimate size of their dining room and their popularity during peak times.
