Delice & Sarrasin is excited to be bringing you the flavors of summer in France with their new upscale casual plant-based menu.
With the menu, the restaurant’s head chef, Yvette Caron, is embracing a seasonal palette of lighter and brighter flavors with new dishes available for both their lunch and dinner sittings.
At the West Village restaurant, you can now choose new vegan dishes that emulate some of the most iconic dishes of summertime French cooking like their Tagliatelle aux Fruits de Mer. This simple yet satisfying homemade tagliatelle pasta dish features a 100% plant-based ‘seafood’ melange and is seasoned with a vibrant and authentic Mediterranean olive oil.
You’re also sure to love their new Salade Nicoise. Their vegan take on this well-known dish brings you organic and locally grown arugula, tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers, served with black olives, fava beans, vegan ‘tuna’ that retains the salty briny umami flavor of the original and a boiled artisan-made plant-based ‘egg’.
Another new summery addition is their Crabe Pané aux Choux de Bruxelles. These crispy and delicious vegan ‘crab’ cakes, which one reviewer for the New York Times said were “beyond reproach”, are topped with a refreshing cashew-based plant-based tartar sauce.
If you want to cool off after a leisurely European-style lunch or dinner, you’ll love that Delice & Sarrasin is now also making plant-based Sorbets in-house with new flavors for you to choose from like lemon, raspberry and chocolate.
Plus, if you’re after something more traditional, Delice & Sarrasin will continue to serve their most well-known classics throughout the summer, including their plant-based Coq au Vin, Boeuf Bourguignon and Steak Frites.
